Montana and the gear all can vacation

It was stationed up by the rock in the back ground and took a popper on the surface. For me the most fun fish of the trip was a Dorado which was very large. It was early in the morning and I was casting off the bow in front of a little town north of Bara.

The bay was full of sardines and jacks of all sizes which were devouring them. I was casting blind in the low light and had had the fly retrieved half way back to the boat when there was a tremendous yank and the line went slashing through the water and with 200 yards of backing out the beautiful green and gold fish turned double summersaults against the orange and red of the tropical sunrise.

This fly rod has a great, silky casting stroke which lends itself to delicate presentations with dries. It also loads great at close ranges and has great accuracy.

I actually have a couple of other rods that are even shorter at 6.5 and 6 feet respectively. Even in the tightest of brookie streams, I still prefer the Scott. The accuracy keeps me out of the trees and fishing more.

A big plus in this neck of the woods. It also has suprising backbone.

I've actually landed two rainbows that where 24 inch plus on 7X tippet with this rod!
